I served as a law clerk under North Carolina Appeals Court Judge Ann Marie Calabria. The insight I gained in that experience was invaluable, observing appeals spanning all areas of civil and criminal law discerning what makes an argument effective and what makes an argument fall flat.

Later, I spent three years as an associate handling civil litigation with Ward and Smith. In addition, I participated on my law school's moot court team, competing at the National Moot Court Competition and finishing as a quarterfinalist in the William E. McGee Civil Rights Moot Court Competition.

Today, I operate my own criminal defense law firm and I accept referrals from lawyers throughout North Carolina for appellate work in both the criminal and civil arenas.
