Experience and Insight for Criminal and Civil Appeals

When a case advances to a court of appeals, attorneys need the ability to look at the case in a new light and focus their attention on the legal issues appealed. In addition, you need to re-frame your arguments to suit the standards of a new audience: the appeals court judge.

I am Neil W. Morrison, an attorney in Greenville, North Carolina, with extensive experience in trial litigation and extensive insight into the appeals process. To discuss your case, contact my office today.

Extensive Experience in Appellate and Trial Litigation

I served as a law clerk under North Carolina Appeals Court Judge Ann Marie Calabria. The insight I gained in that experience was invaluable, observing appeals spanning all areas of civil and criminal law discerning what makes an argument effective and what makes an argument fall flat.

After that experience, I spent three years as an associate handling civil litigation with Ward and Smith. In addition, I participated on my law school's moot court team, competing at the National Moot Court Competition and finishing as a quarterfinalist in the William E. McGee Civil Rights Moot Court Competition.

Today, I operate my own criminal defense law firm and I accept referrals from lawyers throughout North Carolina for appellate work in both the criminal and civil arenas.

Detailed, Comprehensive Strategies in Litigation

I bring the same focused, comprehensive approach regarding litigation strategy to appellate work, preparing each client for any contingency that may arise.

I provide personal, dedicated service to each client. I focus on handling legal matters efficiently, and I do my best to keep clients' costs low. I gain genuine satisfaction in work from improving the lives of others, and do everything I can to pursue my clients' best interests. To schedule a time to discuss your case, contact my offices.
