Out of State Driver? I can help

The Interstate Driving Compact

Most states have entered into a driving compact — an agreement that governs what information is shared between member states when a driver from one state commits a traffic violation in another state. For example, member states, including North Carolina, report a conviction of driving while impaired to other member states. Additionally, if a North Carolina driver is caught in a member state exceeding the speed limit of 55 miles per hour or more by more than 15 miles per hour, North Carolina retains a record of that conviction.

Your home state may keep similar records and such a conviction may place your driver's license in jeopardy.

I represent out-of-state drivers who are caught speeding while just passing through North Carolina. I also represent individuals from out of state who are students at East Carolina University or Pitt Community College in Greenville. For an initial consultation to discuss your case, contact my office today.
